1. Submitting a New Story
Go to the story submission page and log in if you haven’t already.
- Enter a Title and a short Summary.
- Either type your story directly into the Story box, or upload a .docx file instead (the older .doc format isn’t supported, and uploads are limited to 5MB).
- Optionally upload a Cover Image (JPG, PNG, or GIF).
- Choose a Genre, Rating, and any Characters that apply.
- Click Submit Story.
New stories go to a moderator for review before they appear on the site. You’ll see a “Pending Review” badge on your story until it’s approved.
2. Adding a Chapter
Once your story has been approved, go to My Stories and click + Add Chapter next to the story you want to update.
- Confirm the correct story is selected (if you have more than one).
- The next Chapter Number is filled in automatically, but you can change it if needed.
- Enter a Chapter Title.
- Type your chapter into the Chapter Content box, or upload a .docx file instead.
- Click Publish Chapter.
New chapters publish immediately, no moderator review needed, and your story will move to the top of the homepage listing so readers following it can see it’s been updated.
3. Navigating Between Chapters
On any chapter page, use the Previous and Next buttons at the bottom of the content to move between chapters in order.
4. Following and Favoriting
On any story or chapter page, click the Follow/Favorite button. A window will pop up letting you choose:
- Follow Story — get an email when a new chapter is posted.
- Follow Writer — get an email when this author posts a new story.
- Favorite Story — save this story to your favorites list.
- Favorite Writer — save this writer to your favorites list.
Check whichever boxes apply and click Save. You can view everything you’re following or have favorited on your My Follows page.
5. Leaving a Review
Scroll to the bottom of any story page to find the review box. Write your comments and click Post Review. Reviews are shown to other readers under the story.
6. Managing Your Stories
Your My Stories page lists everything you’ve submitted, along with:
- A Pending Review badge on stories still awaiting moderator approval.
- A list of published chapters for each approved story.
- An Edit link next to each story and chapter you’re able to modify.
- A + Add Chapter link for approved stories.
